J. J. (Joseph Jeremiah) Carroll

Mr. J. J. Carroll, 87, U S Army Veteran, of Midlothian, TX passed away on May 22, 2019.  He was an awesome father of 5, wonderful husband to our mom, super grandfather to many. All who knew him loved him! Home Builder, Roofing company, Masonry , Church of Christ preacher, pilot of small planes, Outdoors man. Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 60 years: Iva Earlene Carroll, Son: Michael W Carroll (deceased wife Diane Carroll) and their Children: Chad A Carroll, Amanda J. Lee. Son: Ronald D Carroll and his Wife: Velvet A. Carroll and their Children:  Kalleigh A. Carroll, Jake G. Carroll, Velvet's Son : Donny W. Tooman and his wife: Jenni L. Tooman and their children: Kaleb E. Kelley, Hudson W.  Tooman, Baylor D.Tooman Daughter of Velvet: Jennifer A Cronin, and her husband: Casey T. Cronin, and their children: Tanner T Hooton,  Kagen A Cronin, Krew J Cronin, and Colt M Cronin. Daughter of Ronnie: Hannah E. Tully and her husband: Robert W. Tully, and their children: Connor W. Tully, Charlotte E. Tully, Daughter: Donna Jobe Nabb, and her Husband: Don Nabb, Children of Donna: Jennifer Jobe & Jessica Jobe, Daughter: Dianna D Gray deceased husband Jimmy Gray  Daughter of Dianna: Ashley Mae Gray, Daugther: Deanna Engledow and her Husband: Troy Engledow, Daughter of both: Meagan Engledow with her daughter  Leah Engledow,  Son of both: Casey Engledow with his daughter Kaydence Engledow, Brother:  Walter J. "Ted" Carroll of Red Oak, Texas. Sisters: Ozell Lipscomb, and Bess Carroll.   Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at West/Hurtt Funeral Home in DeSoto.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Ovilla Church of Christ, 3420 Ovilla Road, Ovilla, Texas 75154 Interment with Honors provided by the U. S. Army follow at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas Pallbearers will be: Casey Engledow, Chad Carroll, Lee Brooks, Clyde Kempf, Don Nabb, Ken Reynolds, Vince Thompson & Nichols Diaz
