Jack M. "Jackie" Thomas, Jr.

60, of Duncanville, TX passed away losing a long battle of illness from Agent Orange. Graduate of SOC High School. He joined the U S Army serving with the 8th Transport Group-444 Transport Co. in Vietnam. He and his dog "Puddles" ran Duncanville Feed. We will remember Jackie for his love of his flag, country, humor, independence and determination in facing each obstacle in life. Survived by father: Jack M. Thomas, Sr. of Frost, TX; brother: Richard Thomas of Little Elm, TX; sister: Susan Thomas of Italy, TX; aunt: Nancy Thomas of DeSoto, TX; nephew: Kevin Scott & wife Hollie of Frost, TX; great nieces: Karlie and Keri Scott of Frost, TX; son: Michael Thomas; grandsons: Jack and Braden. Jackie was preceded in death by brothers: Tommy and Fred and Mother: Marjorie Thomas. Services will be held at West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. with Bro. David Fortenbury, officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
