James Mark Tolleson

James “Mark” Tolleson, age 67, passed from this earth unexpectedly on January 30, 2025. He was born to James LeRoy and Bobbie Tolleson on March 13, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. Mark was a 1976 graduate of Duncanville High School, where he played football and made lifelong friendships. After high school, he pursued a career as a mechanic and service writer for Ford, where his passion for cars and knack for tinkering began. In recent years, he worked in general construction. Mark was loved by many and will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the way he always had time for those who needed a helping hand. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lynne and Joe Bretey, and grandchildren, Laynee and Kash Bretey of Lampasas, Texas, his sister, Connie Malone of Duncanville, Texas, his aunt, Nell McKissick of Forney, Texas, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. A graveside service will be held at Laurel Land Cemetery on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM (5300 S R L Thornton Fwy Dallas, Texas 75232) with a celebration of life directly following the services at Ojeda's Restaurant in DeSoto, Texas.
