James Perry Zander

James Zander and his wife Linda, of Dallas, TX (formerly of DeSoto, TX), passed away on December 21, 2020. They passed within 3 hours of each other due to COVID-19. They were both committed to and involved in DeSoto, TX. James was elected to the DeSoto City Counsel and worked closely with the Economic Development Board. Linda worked with the Chamber of Commerce. Together they were on the "Keep DeSoto Beautiful" committee, DeSoto ISD Education Foundation and the DeSoto Dinning and Dialogue Committee. They will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones. James is survived by his brother: Sande` Zander and his sister: Babette "Bobbi" Taylor. Linda is survived by her two sons: James Staley and Chad Farnum. James was buried privately, in the family cemetery, St. Andrew's Cemetery in River Vale, New Jersey on Thursday - February 04, 2021 under the direction of Robert Spearing Funeral Home, 155 Kinderkamack, Park Ridge, New Jersey 07656-1308, 201-391-6666. Both he and Linda will have a public Memorial Service on a later date in 2021.
