Janet Kay Monzingo

Janet Kay Nelson Monzingo was born to Thomas Lane and Carol Jean Lemmon Nelson in Pensacola, Florida. She always placed her family first, was a loving Mother with a beautiful voice. Children and music were her passion. She was a certified practice manager for a dermatology office. She was preceded in death by her son: Steven Monzingo in 1998 and her brother: Thomas Lane Nelson, Jr. Janet is survived by her husband: Michael Monzingo, daughters: Britnay, Stephanie and Morgan Monzingo, all of Cedar Hill, parents: Thomas and Jean Nelson of Midlothian, brothers: William R. Nelson of Seattle, WA, and Brett L. Nelson of Spokane, WA, Robert Aaron Nelson of Midlothian, sisters: Jean E' Gray of Midlothian, M. Catherine Kohl of Layton, Utah, 26 nieces and nephews, and a number of great nieces and nephews and extended relatives. She is also survived by her dearest friend: Rebecca Jaech. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the West/Hurtt Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 A. M. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 1019 Big Stone Gap in Duncanville, TX 75137. Interment will be at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville. MEMORIALS are encouraged to the "Children's College Fund" Pallbearers are William R. Nelson, Brett Nelson, Brian Kohl, Aaron Nelson, Craig Gray and David Gray.
