Janice Elaine Walters

Janice Elaine Walters, age 83, born October 3, 1940, youngest daughter of Herbert Woods and Lola Vione Allen from Ponca City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by both parents and her bother Hollis Allen. She was a loving wife and mother and went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2024. Janice is survived by her husband, Paul Walters Jr., of 61 years. Also survived by both sons, Paul Alan Walters and wife, Brenda along with their daughter Amy Owens (spouse Jim Armstrong), daughter Nikki Krysinski (spouse Scott), and son Drew Simon (spouse Anna) with great grandson Reid, and their youngest son Mark Walters of DeSoto, TX. Janice also was a loving sister to Rhonda Hill of Ft. Worth, TX and Donna Abbott of Alcoa, TN. Through the years the three sisters shared a deep bond and supported one another through life’s ups and downs. Janice found great joy in music whether it was going to concerts, watching/listening to musicals on TV or singing herself. For many years she was an active choir member at Hampton Road Baptist Church. Her gentle spirit and melodious voice will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Viewing and visitation will be private for family only. Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday - July 10, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211 with Pastor Larry D. Williams, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations to be made in her name to your favorite Charity of Choice. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her loss.
