Janie Orr

Emma Jane "Janie" Orr, 91, of DeSoto, TX passed away on March 03, 2022. Janie was born and raised in Delta County and attended Cooper High School. She moved to Dallas, TX in 1953 where she met her husband Robert Orr, they made their home in DeSoto, TX. Janie worked for Rockwell International for 33 years. She loved working in her yard, camping, fishing, boating, watching her children ride horses and her daughter twirling the baton. Survivors include her son & daughter in law: Joe & Shirley Orr; daughter & son in law: Cathy & Mike Fenton; grandchildren: Renee, Monty and Christopher and many nephews & nieces. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Monday - March 07, 2022 from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M. at which time the Funeral Service will begin with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman, officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, DeSoto, TX.
