Jason W. (Paw-Paw) Gibbs

Jason Wayne Gibbs, 56, of Red Oak, Texas was born to Garland and Carolyn Gibbs on September 22, 1967 in Dallas, Texas at Methodist Hospital.  Jason died on January 3, 2024 in Dallas, Texas at Methodist Hospital unexpectedly.  Jason moved to DeSoto, Texas in 1970, attended DeSoto Schools, and Graduated from DeSoto High School in 1986 and attended East Texas State University (now Texas A & M Paris, Texas).  Jason was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by his Mother: Carolyn, siblings: Jeff Gibbs (Mary), Natalie Gibbs Croy (Ronnie), wife: Tammy, children: Jessica Gibbs, Peyton Gibbs, Dylan Scott, Taylor Scott (Chandler), Bronc McElroy, (Miranda), PAW-PAW to: Alexandria, John, James, Abby, Aubrey, Rooster, And Atlas (to be born in April) and nieces: Martha, Kim, and Katie.  Jason's greatest joy was playing with all his grandchildren.

Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at West Hurtt Funeral Home Chapel.

Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Cowboy Church in Waxahachie on West 287.  Interment to follow at Rhodes Cemetery in DeSoto, Texas.
