Jeanne A. Hill

November 6, 1938 — December 21, 2023

Jeanne Ann Hill was born on November 6,1938, in Hurley, Wisconsin to Walter J. and Laura Vellenoweth, who migrated from Cornwall, England to the USA on Queen Mary II. She was 1 of 10 beautiful children, our uncles, and aunts. On May 14, 1960, Jeanne married Raymond Edward Hill. Together they had three children Calvin, Sherry, and Steven. Jeanne worked as an accounting clerk for the US Government early on. She always volunteered for all her children at our elementary schools at lunch time. Jeanne loved Target and her dedicated team; she appreciated her people. Doing more for people than most managers expected or would ever do. This is what she routinely did for her family. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her friendship was so very contagious, just ask her beloved friend Fannie. Once she hugged and embraced you, all your cares and worries became hers…and we all know that feeling and touch. It is still felt daily. She retired after 32 + years as the front-line manager, and could have been a management force at Target, but knew when it was time to enjoy life. As an accomplished investor, she tackled life her way! Dancing and enjoying her life with Raymond and her family. Jeanne passed away on 12/21/2023, the Winter Solstice with her three children in her loving arms and 16 years to the day that Raymond had passed: losing her battle with congestive heart failure. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven loving siblings, and her loving husband Raymond (2007). She is survived by daughter Sherry McCaslin, sons Calvin Hill (Maria) and Steven Hill (Sara); 9 grandchildren (Cheyenne (Jake), Robin, Jessica (Ricky), Matthew, David, Ashley and Josephine, Shawn and Austin), and 6 great grandchildren (Bristol and Willow, Gavin and Brody, Hanna and Chase) and sisters Mary Ann and Carol (Leo). Services were private.
