died October 8, 2010 after a long tough fight. She was born October 11, 1923 in Providence, Rhode Island. A devoted military wife married to Col (Ret.) Herbert A. Smith Jr., now deceased, a career solider, a veteran of World War II, former Professor of Military of Science at the UTEP and teacher at Yesleta High School. After serving around the world they settled in El Paso which was there home for over forty years. She was an active devoted member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was a prolific reader and dedicated Dallas Cowboys Fan. She is survived by her loving daughter Susan Selman, son in law Jim Selman, granddaughter Ashley, and her loving son Peter G. Smith, daughter in law Susie Smith, grandson Taylor and two great grandchildren.
