92, of DeSoto, TX passed away on November 28, 2012. Jennie was a descendant of many pioneer families in the South Dallas and North Ellis county areas including the Curry, Morris, White, Chesier and Parks. She was preceded in death by her father & mother: Robert Leonard & Lillie Amelia Morris Curry; brother: Morris Leonard "Bud" Curry & his wife Elizabeth Brownlee Curry; sister: Alta Lee Curry Rowe & her husband Ralph B. Rowe; niece: Connie Sue Curry Hudspeth and brothers in law: F.M. Moore, Al Godwin & Earl Hale. She is survived by sister: Elanor Doretha "Chunk" Curry Moore; sister: Theta Faye "Jackie" Hale; nephew: Don Morris Curry and family; nephew: Ralph Wayne Rowe and family; nephew: James Ronald Moore and family; niece: Kay Curry Jones and family; nephew: Robert Charles Moore and many great nieces & nephews. Her greatest joys in life included joining in large family gatherings, gospel music, daytime soap operas, playing chicken foot and RC Cola. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday-December 01, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until service time. Interment will follow in the Wheatland Cemetery, Dallas, TX. The family would like to especially recognize the loving care and companionship given to Jennie in her later years by Dessalena Jones and Yolonda Smith and to the staff of Duncanville Nursing & Rehabilitation, her special friends, Bea and Leon Wheatley, and the Boswell Family; who practically adopted Jennie as one of their own. She also was active in the Rebekah Lodge for over 30 years, serving as secretary of the Lodge for many of those years.
