In Loving Memory of Jimmy Ray Morgan Jimmy Ray Morgan, age 69, of DeSoto, TX, passed away on June 26th, 2025. A proud veteran of the US Army, he served our country with honor and distinction during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant and receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Born on August 1st, 1955, in Fort Worth, TX. Jimmy was renowned for his unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and profound love for his family and country. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 39 years Julie Morgan, 2 sisters Florence Summerlin and Carolyn Watkins, niece D’Ann Owens, 3 children Jesse Morgan, Jerry Morgan, and Mandy Morgan, 4 grandchildren Jessica Largent, Christian Sweetnam, James Hyden, Brooklin Morgan Bruce, and was preceded in death by parents Fred & Stell Morgan, brothers Lawrence Morgan and Carroll Morgan, sister Marilyn Kay Turner. Jimmy’s legacy of courage, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial Graveside Services, with Military Honors rendered in recognition of his service, will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX on Friday - August 01, 2025 at 9:15 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, COPD Foundation, or any Veteran Charity Foundation.
