66, of DeSoto, TX passed away on August 06, 2020. He is survived by his wife: Charlsie L. Tyler; son & daughter in law: Jimmy Tyler, III & Francesca Locklin; son & daughter in law: William & Latonia Tyler; daughter & son in law: Brandi & Conroy Mitchell; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister: Debra Baker; sister: Terri Tyler; brother: Michael Tyler and a host of nieces & nephews. He was born on June 5, 1954 in Mesquite, Texas. He moved to Texas City, Texas as an adolescent and this is where he met his beautiful wife Charlsie. They had 3 children together before moving back to the Dallas area. He worked in the restaurant business, owned restaurants, and was a school teacher for special needs children before his retirement. He enjoyed being a school teacher the most. He loved to collect hot wheels, antiques, collector’s glasses, and coins. He also loved taking pictures. He always had a camera with him wherever he went. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking, playing poker with the family, and enjoyed family gatherings. He was a smart, witty, kind, giving, funny, and loving human being. He overcame many health obstacles in his life and survived so much. He regretfully succumbed to complications of liver cancer on August 6, 2020. There was no one like him and he will be greatly missed. The family will gather with friends in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Thursday - August 13, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services beginning at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Larry Williams, officiating. Interment will be private.
