John H. P. "Rusty" Conway, Jr.

68, of DeSoto, TX passed away on May 16, 2017. Rusty retired in 2005 from LTV after 30 years.  After retirement, he and Cathy loved spending time with their grandchildren and taking trips in their RV to Colorado and Wyoming.  He also enjoyed spending time with his adopted brothers at Tangle Ridge Golf Course.  He was an avid University of Texas fan and supported his Longhorns in all sports.He was preceded in death by his parents John & Doris Conway.Rusty is survived by his wife: Cathy of 45 years;sons:  Derek and his girlfriend Danna and Andy and his wife Monica;grandchildren: Olivia, Caleb, Ava and Dylan;brothers and sisters:  Ron Larsen and his wife Ranette, Janet Edwards, Jeri Conway and Pat Conway and his wife Cheryl;several nephews, nieces, numerous friends and his three dogs who he adored.The family will have a Gathering Time for Visiting in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Friday - May 19, 2017 from 5 - 7:00 P.M.Memorials in Rusty's name may be made to Tri City Animal Shelter in Cedar Hill, TX.
