John Herbert Seydler

John Herbert Seydler, born Nov. 17, 1954 in Boulder, Colorado went to the arms of his Savior Feb. 27, 2015 in Irving, Texas. John was a loving and generous husband, soul mate, brother, father, "Pappy", Musician, videographer, sound man, builder with an artist's soul, a loyal and true friend to so many. He was always ready to lend a hand, his house or his van to those in need. He was a learner, seeker, struggler, survivor, believer, explorer, adventurer, lover and tender caretaker of animals and all the small creatures that fascinated him. His eye was for beauty, shapes, light, colors and sounds of all that surrounded us. He rode the highs of life with gusto and plowed through the lows with his best effort. There were many glorious highs. He loved the mountains and longed to return to Colorado but he learned to appreciate the openness and peace of the Ocean and stuck it out in Texas. A bit eccentric, John could be intense and overwhelming at times but his fun loving spirit, deep compassion, crazy sense of humor and quick wit covered many faults. He had found a place of peace, renewed spiritual life and faith, and positive expectation of the future. He is survived by his companion and wife Karen Cangemi Seydler, ex-wife Jeanne Seydler, daughter Rebekah Loftus , granddaughter Hannah Foster, brother Karl Seydler and sister Mary Erickson of Parker,Colorado. As well as Leroy, Linus, Puff and many friends and colleagues that will miss him much. The family will receive friends at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Friday - March 06, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at which time the Funeral Service will begin in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the White Church Cemetery, Blooming Grove (Navarro Co.), TX.
