Joseph Edward Lopez, 44, of Desoto, Texas was born April 24, 1976 to the parents of Larry and Patsy Lopez in Lubbock, Texas. Joseph was not a follower, rather, a true one of a kind, from riding bulls during his college days, to being a self taught mechanic and a marathon runner. Joseph was a trailblazer. He graduated from the DeSoto Fire Academy in 2000 and later became a certified EMT. He was a man of many facets, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, rallying for his daughter at every volleyball game and being a cheer dad at football games. He also had his CDL and drove trucks for oil companies as well as commercial. Joseph was a member of Church on the Hill in DeSoto under the leadership of Reverend Michael Mitchell. He was the laughter of the family. A lending hand to many. He was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a friend to those he met. His presence filled every room. He will be missed everyday. He is survived by his wife: Elena Bonilla Lopez; daughter: Jacinda Lopez; parents: Larry & Patsy Lopez; sister: Maraya Lopez; brother: Joshua Lopez and a host of nieces & nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday - October 6, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Church on the Hill in DeSoto, 800 S Hampton RD., DeSoto, Texas 75115.
