Joseph Francis Marion, Jr.

Joseph Marion was born in Flint, Michigan on July 21, 1939. But as he said "I got to Texas as fast as I could!" and he and his family moved to Brownsville, Texas at the age of three months. He passed away in the Gentiva/Odessy Hospice unit at Methodist Charlton Hospital on Monday, October 27, 2014. He was 75. He was the manager of the Hi Ho RV Park in Glenn Heights. Preceded in death by his son: Joseph Francis Marion, III in 2001, he is survived by his wife of 48 years: "Shari" Marion, his daughter: Jacquelin Marion-Reilly of Turlock, California, his sons: Robert Marion of Paradise, California and Timothy Marion of Allen, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother and sister in law: David and Suzanne Marion of Tekemah, Nebraska, brother in law and sister in law: Jesse and Margie Blount of Columbus, Ohio, sister in law and brother in law: Barbara and Thomas Garrow of San Antonio, Texas and many many close friends that Joseph had made through the years. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at the WEST/HURTT Funeral Home. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 12 Noon with Pastor John Coe of the Cowboy Church of Red Oak, officiating. Memorials are encouraged the the SPCA Chapter of your Choice.
