To say that Nana had a great love for her family is an understatement. She loved life and it loved her right back. She loved her grandkids, the Rangers, cooking, hosting events, ALL babies and being involved with her church. June was cheerful, generous, loving, compassionate ...... and she cried when she prayed. She was a Nana to all. June was full of faith and was a caring and loving person who believed strongly in the power of prayer and the grace of Jesus Christ.
June was born in Henderson, Texas, lived in DeSoto for many years before moving to Southlake in 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters Julie and Missy. Survivors include her daughter Felicia Lake, her grandchildren Casey and Lauren Johnson, Coleman Lake, Chandler and Ben Riggs, Carson Lake and Cade Lake. Her brother Joe Gibson, two nieces Nicole Gibson, Anita and John Jacobs, nephews Michael and Cutter Jacobs, niece Rachael and Justin Dreibelbis, niece and namesake June Marie Dreibelbis.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. at WEST/HURTT Funeral Home Then there will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church 301 E. Texas St., Grapevine, Texas 76051. Her Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Grapevine with Dr. Jerry R. Raines and Rev. Frank Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery 1500 S. Westmoreland DeSoto, Texas 75115 at about 3 to 3:15 p.m. that same day.
