June D. Voelkel

June D Voelkel, 88, of DeSoto, Texas passed away Sunday January 10, 2021 at her home comforted by her loved ones. June was born March 11, 1932 in Gladewater, Texas, the daughter of Roy and Lena Decker. She married Gus Voelkel on October 7, 1950 in Fayetteville County. June was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending her free time reading and doing puzzles. She loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone who knew her. June was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Lena Decker; her husband: Gus Voelkel; sisters: Catherine "Lorene" Hall & Beth Barrett; and her son: Alex Voelkel. She is survived by her son: Ronald Voelkel; granddaughter: Jordan Voelkel; granddaughter: Ashley Voelkel and her husband Brad; 2 great grandsons: Adam and Benjamin Boston and a great granddaughter: Rylee Carder, all of whom she was most proud. Friends and family are welcomed to come pay their respects and sign a guestbook here at the Funeral Home on Thursday - January 14, 2021 from 3 - 5:00 P.M. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, TX.
