Junell D Allen

September 10, 1935 — February 2, 2024

Junell Darlene Marburger Allen was born on September 10, 1935 in Dime Box, Texas to Henry Otto Marburger and Ella Marie Banik. Junell was a loan officer for Lone Star Credit Union of Dallas.

Junell was known as a quiet yet encouraging woman who loved the Lord and her family. She was known for her beef stew, hand made quilts, and love for candy. Her generous and giving spirit were appreciated by all of those she helped.

In 1964, she married Udale Spencer Allen, and together they built a life filled with obedience and service to the Lord. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Susan Wolverton and Jeannie Parker. They shared 52 wonderful years together until Udale passed away in 2017.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Udale Allen, daughter, Jeannie Parker, her parents; brother Henry Marburger and sister Joycelle Seely.

A devoted wife, mother, and woman of God, Junell was cherished by her family. She is survived by her daughter Susan Wolverton and husband Kelly of Desoto, and son-in- law Kenneth of DeSoto, her four granddaughters, which were the joy of her life, Kelsan Wolverton of O’Donnell, Sharon Wolverton of O’Donnell, Spencer Wolverton of Desoto, and Faith Parker of DeSoto.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, at 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Dime Box, Texas. A memorial service will be held February 23 at Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto, Texas at 2 p.m.  Friends and family are invited to attend either service and share their memories of Junell.
