Karen O. Powers

Karen was born at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas and left this earth at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Karen was President and C. E. O. of Flooring Perfections in Arlington. She and her family had lived in DeSoto for over 30 years, and she was a member of First Christian Church in DeSoto. Besides her husband, Andy Powers, she is survived by her sons, Jason of Arlington and Randy of Lewisville and daughter, Lindy of Denton, sister, Diana Carroll of Cedar hill, and brother, Phillip Pelch of Houston, TX., 3 step children, Stephanie Cabeza, Anna Yates, and Andrea Cahill, 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A. M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Rev. Annette Meehan and Rev. Jerry David Powers,Jr., officiating. Interment will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Dallas-Ft. worth National Cemetery. The family will have a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (8/20) at the funeral home.
