Kathy Craddock Reininga, age 68, lost her battle with Multiple Myeloma on March 25th 2025, surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born on May 22, 1956 in Dallas, Texas, the second child to N.L. “Moe” and Sylvia Trees Craddock. She grew up in DeSoto and graduated from DeSoto High School in 1974. After high school, she worked in Dallas as a secretary for various lawyers and title companies. She had fond memories living and enjoying life with her brother and sister. In 1987, while working at the barbecue house at the Box Car, she caught the eyes of her future husband Dave. On June 24, 1989 they sealed the deal and got married at First United Methodist Church of DeSoto and spent 35 loving years together. They traveled, danced, and lived their life to the fullest together. Together they had two children Derek (1991) and Jacki (1997). They bought the Craddock family business, Oso Grande Mobile Home Village, where they worked until they sold it and retired in 2013. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling, the Dallas Stars games, concerts, cruises, and being with family.
She’s preceded in death by her father, N.L. “Moe” Craddock. She is survived by her husband David, her son, Derek, grandchildren Marlee, Willow and Hagen, and her daughter Jacki. Her mother, Sylvia Trees Craddock of DeSoto. Her brother Dan and Patty Craddock of Waxahachie. Her sister, Lynda and Von Hulgan of Ferris. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.
In honor of Kathy’s fight, we encourage donations to the American Cancer Society or an organization of choice.
