Kenneth D. Burke

Kenneth Dale Burke was born on March 25, 1935 and entered God’s rest to the place Jesus prepared for him on August 2, 2016. Ken graduated from Sunset High School in 1952; Graduated from Texas A&M in 1956 as an Aeronautical Engineer; Was commissioned in the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant, Served as a flight test engineer at Edwards Air Force Base in California, Was part of the engineering and design team at NASA for the Lunar Exploration Module, and retired in 2003 as a Partner at Procomp. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann Burke; 3 daughters: Robbie Metcalf, Karen Evans and Janis Richie; 1 son: Kendall Burke; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sons-in-law: Randy Metcalf, Tommy Richie and Roger Evans; and 1 daughter-in-law: Danielle Burke. The family will receive friends at Dallas First Church of the Nazarene, 825 N. Cockrell Hill Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 on Friday - August 06, 2016 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:30 P.M. (all on the same day) with Pastor Larry Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
