72, of Valley View, TX passed away on April 10, 2018. Kenneth spent most of his life in Oak Cliff, retired from the parts department of General Motors, loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy for the Viet Nam War. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Francis Ellis and Marjorie McKennon Hartzel. Kenneth is survived by his brother and his family: Charles Hartzel of Dallas, and a number of friends and co workers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at West/Hurtt Funeral Home in DeSoto.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors provided by the U. S. Navy on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:30 a. m. at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. (please assemble in Lane 3 by 10:15 a. m.)
