Kristy Ward Gordon

On Saturday - October 05, 2013 our Lord stopped by Charlton Methodist Hospital to pick up his angel Kristy Ward Gordon, 32, of DeSoto, TX. On July 22, 1981, our Lord blessed George Ward and Lillie Davis Ward with a beautiful baby girl named Kristy Yvonne Ward. Kristy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended the New Orleans Public School System. She graduated from McDonough 35 High School and attended Louisiana State University. Kristy became a member of the United States Navy and served on the USS Porter in Norfolk, Virginia. Kristy later graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Dallas from November 2009 until her departure on Saturday - October 05, 2013. Kristy leaves to mourn: her husband: Anthony Jerome Gordon, Jr.; daughters: Adriana and Iyona Gordon; parents: George and Lillie Ward; siblings: Iesha Ward and George Ward, Jr.; father in law: Anthony Gordon, Sr.; mother in law: Janice Gordon. Kristy will also be missed by her brothers in law, sister in law, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday - October 15, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be held on the same day Tuesday - October 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Community Missionary Baptist Church, 115 W. Beltline Church, DeSoto, TX 75115 972-230-4477 with Dr. Oscar Epps, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
