LANELL HULEN

Lanell Hulen, age 91, passed away on February 18, 2026. Lanell was born on April 30, 1934, in Amarillo, Texas to William Bailey Hulen and Stella Nutt Hulen.

Since birth, Lanell was mentally challenged but she had a happy and meaningful life. Her beautiful spirit and love for everyone she met had a profound effect on their lives. To know Lanell was to love Lanell! She is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior and her momma and daddy. Her mind is totally healed! Praise the Lord! We want to give the utmost heartfelt appreciation to Denton State Supported Living Center and staff. They always gave Lanell exceptional care in the most loving manner possible and have a special place in our hearts for their unfaltering care and devotion to those that have been put into their hands.

Lanell is survived by her brother and guardian, Robert Hulen; her nieces and nephews Gina Hulen Lewis and husband Lynn, Amy Hulen Hill and husband Charles, Patricia Hulen Shepherd, Wayne Hulen, Chris Hulen and wife Denise, Kelly Hulen and wife Jill; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Lanell was preceded in death by her parents William and Stella Hulen, her brother William Earl Hulen and wife Helen; and her sister-in-law Kay Hulen who also served as Lanell’s loving guardian.

The family will hold a graveside service at Laurel Land Memorial Park on Friday, March 6, 2026 with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.
