Mona was born in Healdsburg, California to Hilma and Ira Green on 20 September 1930 and passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas on 25 June 2022. She moved from California to Texas at the age of 16 and graduated from Adamson High School. She received a degree in Music from UNT Denton and later attended UT Arlington for her Paralegal license. She retired from AAFES HQ in 2004 after 39 years of service. Most of that time was spent as Claims Administrator in the General Counsel Office. Mona never met a stranger and loved her family dearly as well as her church, St Anne Episcopal church of DeSoto, and her many friends. She “adopted” 3 of our friends ( Peterson’s) in high school after their parents died and they remain part of the family today. Mom spent many years working for the Red Cross as a swim instructor and ended as an instructor's instructor. She also spent years working with her beloved Adamson Alumni Association spending countless hours of joy promoting her school. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert (Bob) and is survived by her children, Bill Clark (Marcia), Connie Reith (Rick) and John Clark and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials or donations be made in Mona's name to any animal rescue, Adamson Alumni Association or charity of choice. The family will receive friends at West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Wednesday - July 13, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. till 11:30 A.M. with a Graveside Service to follow at 1:00 P.M. (same day) in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX.
