Lenora Williams, age 87, passed away peacefully at Medical City Hospital in Arlington, Texas on July 8th, 2021. She was born during the Dust Bowl on August 20th, 1933 to Homer and Elsie Eagon in May, Oklahoma.
Lenora was a 1950 graduate of Shattuck High School where she was awarded most-beautiful in her class, and later spent one and a half years at Bethany Peniel College (presently known as Southern Nazarene University.) Lenora married Reverend Robert Williams on May 24th, 1954 at Bethany First Church in Bethany, Oklahoma. Lenora and Robert moved around often early in their marriage, but eventually settled in Duncanville, Texas where they raised their four children. This was the beginning of a wonderful legacy of 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (and counting.)
Lenora was preceded in death by her daughter Robin Williams, her parents, her seven siblings, and her grandson John Robert Williams.
She is survived by her husband Robert, her three sons and three daughter-in-laws: Steve and Danna Williams, Randy and Debby Williams, and Rusty and Ginger Williams. Also survived by her 15 grandchildren: Summer Willig, Jesse Williams, Danni Williams, Joseph Williams, Charity Jones (Tim), Kimberlee Buchanan (Aaron), Lindsey Lackey (Jonathan), Joshua Williams (Claire), Brooke McIntosh (Ryan), Aubree Williams, Jamie Williams, Heath Williams, Sybree Foster (Quinten), Victoria Hanson (Jake), and Jade Williams, and 10 great-grandchildren: Kyle, Caden, and Caleb Willig; Wilder, Dottie, and Ezekiel Jones; Julia McIntosh; Henley Buchanan; and Tyson and Ryder Lackey.
Lenora will be remembered for her humble servant's heart. She was quick to listen, slow to speak, and constantly looking for an opportunity to make someone a home cooked meal. She radiated joy and kindness to everyone around her, but most importantly, she lived her life fully surrendered to The Lord. This showed in the way she loved and cared for every person around her.
