Ludimila (Lillian) Agnes Hlavenka passed away on August 17, 2022. Lillian was born on October 27, 1923 in West, Texas to Ignac Bacak and Cecelia Klish Bacak. She met the love of her life, August J Hlavenka, at a dance. They were married on February 16, 1942. During WWII she worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Co. in California. After the war they moved to Dallas, where she worked for Stockton Manufacturing as a seamstress and later as a home day care provider where she took care of several children for over 35 years. During this time she was a St. James Catholic Church Youth Sponsor, a Youth leader for KJZT and KJT, a member of the Catholic Czech Club in Dallas, and a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church Catholic Daughters. She was a talented seamtress. One of her most cherished memories were going to Czech Polka Dances in Dallas where she would meet with friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, August and son Marvin Hlavenka and siblings; Ignac, Josef, Mary Ann, Louise, Ludvik, Frances, Anastasia (Stacey) and William (Bill). She is survived by her children; Shirley Mindock, husband Ralph; David Hlavenka, wife Kelli; and daughter-in-law Celeste Hlavenka. She has 6 Grandchildren; Eric Mindock, wife, Susan; Jennifer Carson husband, John; Joshua Hlavenka, wife, Amber; Jilliane Fernandes, husband, Melvyn; Jeremy Hlavenka, wife, Samantha and Rose Hlavenka. She has 10 Great Grandchildren; Dominic, Sophia, Margaret, Joseph, Luke, Christopher, Mary Fernandes, John and James Carson and Silas Hlavenka. Her legacy is the love she had for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. She was blessed to be able to spend time with each of them. She was a prayer warrior, always praying for family and friends. She and her prayers will be missed. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Tuesday - August 23, 2022 from 6 - 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday - August 24, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 4015 South Hampton Rd., Dallas, TX. Interment will follow at 3:30 P.M. in St. Martins Cemetery, 8494 FM 2311, Tours, TX.
