FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Lancaster, TX

INTERMENT will follow at Wheatland Cemetery 8000 S Hampton Rd., Dallas, TX 75237

Linda was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, graduated from Hall High School, Ouachita Baptist University, North Texas State University with degrees in math, education and a Masters in Counseling.  She had a long and respected tenure with the DeSoto Independent School District.  Linda passed away Tuesday afternoon in Katy, Texas, on October 15, 2019.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Leona and Durrell Murphree, and brother: David Murphree.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-lawlaw: Flora and Mark Tiedt, sister and brother-in-law: Bryan and Gayle Holbrook, nephew:  of Omaha, NE, and great niece: Kate Holbrook of Omaha, NE
