Linda Ray Kronenberg of Palmer, Texas, passed away from natural causes on September
25, 2026. Born on May 10, 1956, in Dallas County, Linda lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and an unwavering faith that carried her through all her days.
For many years, Linda devoted herself to a career in social work, a calling that suited her perfectly. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet, the kind of woman who wore her heart on her sleeve and gave of herself freely to anyone in need.Whether she was caring for her family or wrangling a wild goose she had secretly brought home, she approached every day with love, laughter, and just a little bit of mischief.
Linda shared fifty wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Roy. Together they built a life rich with love and devotion. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a proud cat mom to her orange cat, Butters, who was never far from her side.
Her joys were many and simple. Linda loved to garden, tending her plants with patience and care. She was known far and wide for her cooking, and her famous pot roast was a dish no one ever forgot. She rarely turned down a cold Dr. Pepper, loved to lose herself in a good book, and treasured her travels, finally fulfilling her lifelong dream of visiting Alaska.Above all, she found comfort and strength in reading her Bible, and her faith in God shaped the woman everyone came to love.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kronenberg; her daughter, Norma Kronenberg; her mother, Norma Watkins; her father, Leslie Brock Sr.; and her brothers,Leslie Brock Jr. and Donald Brock.
She is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Rust, Joseph Rust, and Christopher and Tiffany Rust, along with her many other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will all dearly miss her.Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew her find comfort in knowing she has been welcomed home into the loving arms of her Savior, reunited at last with Roy and all who went before her. May she rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials or donations be made in Linda's name to either the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday - October 28, 2026.
Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
