Linda was born November 17, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas, graduated from Hall High School, Ouachita Baptist University, and North Texas University with degrees in math/education and a master's degree in Counseling. Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Leona and Durrell Murphree and brother: David Murphree.

Survivors include: her sister and brother-in-law: Flora and Mark Tiedt of Katy, TX, nephew and his wife: Bryan and Gayle Hoybook, of Omaha, NE, and great niece: Kate Hoybrook of Omaha, NE.
