Lois Glander

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at DeSoto Presbyterian Church, 212 W. Pleasant Run Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 (972.223.5805) with Rev. Karen Estes, officiating. Interment of her cremains will be held at 11 A. M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery - Lane A, Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Glander was preceded in death by her sisters: Verna Burton and Elma Baker. Lois was born July 30, 1935 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Robert and Eunice Cameron Wilson. She passed away on January 2, 2014 in the Oddessy Hospice unit at Methodist Charlton Hospital in Dallas, Texas She is survived by her husband: James C. "Jim" Glander of DeSoto, TX; daughter: Sue Glander Longville of Cleburne, TX; sons: John Glander of DeSoto, TX and Robert Glander & his wife Colleen of Mountaintop, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Julian, Kira & Lily Glander; brothers: Robert D. "Bob" Wilson & Jack Wilson both of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and sister: Sandra Wilson of Traverse City, Michigan. Besides being active in the DeSoto Citizens Police Academy Alumni working parades, elections, Sr. Citizens forums, and answering the phone for the police department, Lois had been employed in purchasing and inventory control for Pearsol Appliance.
