Lorraine R. Thomason

Lorraine R Thomason, 87, formerly of Ovilla, Texas passed away peacefully on November 18, 2018, in Austin Tx with her son and daughter by her side. Lorraine was born on July 28, 1931 in Asbury Park New Jersey to Daniel and Sarah Francioni. She married George F Thomason on July 30,1955 and enjoyed 61 years of a loving marriage. Lorraine graduated from New Jersey State Teachers College and taught in the Dallas school district for more than 30 years. She loved teaching second grade and retired from Daniel Webster Elementary.   After retiring, Lorraine loved spending time with her family. She would do whatever it took to make sure she saw her grandchildren. She only had 3 grandchildren but thought they were perfect in every way, and they felt the exact same about her. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Sarah Francioni ,her sisters Betty West and Hilda Delaney, and her loving husband of 61 years George Thomason. Lorraine is survived by her son Kyle Thomason and wife Catherine of Austin Tx , daughter Karen Trefelner of Gray Ga, and her perfectly beautiful grandchildren Nicolas Trefelner, Taylor Trefelner, and Chase Thomason Graveside Services will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211 on Thursday - January 03, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Larry Williams, officiating.
