Mae went to be with her Lord and Savior June 20, 2026, at AccentCare Hospice Center/Memorial Regional Hospital Hollywood, FL at the age of 90. She was born June 27, 1935 in Lafayette, Georgia to James Oliver and Opal Hampton. Mae married the love of her life, George Jackson Sr., and they had 57 years together until his death in 2012. Mae and George were recognized and admired as owners of several Auto Service and Repair Centers in DeSoto from 1973 to 2008. After retirement, Mae and George both served as school crossing guards in the community. They loved the people of DeSoto and made many lasting friendships through the years. Mae also loved music and would sing karaoke with friends in Red Oak and Desoto several days each week. We will miss her energetic and bubbly personality and the love she has shown her family and friends.

Mae was preceded in death by her Husband George Jackson Sr., her parents James Oliver and Opal Hampton, brothers, Jimmy Hampton, Henry Hampton and sisters Joann Bias and Linda Naso.

Survived by her children Dennis Jackson and wife Teri of Willis, TX; George Jackson Jr of Glenn Heights, TX; Denise Anderson and husband Glenn of Sunrise, FL; Tammy Patterson and husband Dean of Wills Point, TX and Jimmy Jackson and wife Lisa of New Bern, NC and her sister Joyce Spears of Benton, AR. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 27th 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., West-Hurtt Funeral Home in Desoto, TX with graveside service following at 11:00 a.m., Rhodes Cemetery, Cockrell Hill Rd, DeSoto, TX with Pastor Larry D. Williams, officiating.
