Margaret Elaine King went to be with our Lord and her family on 3/16/2017.
She was born on June 6, 1924 in DeKalb, Texas, where she was raised.
At the age of 15, her aunt Justine Lawrence, sent her to Dallas to attend beauty school. She subsequently became a beautician which became her life and passion.
She never had children of her own but became the mother to so many over the years.
She was the type of person who never met a stranger and became friends with practically everyone she met.
She loved to travel, taking care of others, good food and telling stories to anyone who would listen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She spoke often of the fact that she was the oldest of five and would be the last of the family to pass.
She is survived by her nieces Deby Bryant Alexander, Tonya Munoz, DeDe Guido, Larraine Felan, and Erica Jaramillo; nephews Marco Williams, William “Bill” Ritter and many lifelong friends.
The family expresses a special “Thank You!” to the dedicated staff of Methodist Hospital’s CCU in Dallas for making her last days as comfortable as possible.
Her circle of neighbors and friends are too numerous to mention but a special thank you goes out to all of them because they made her happy and comfortable and, above all else, that is what mattered to her.
Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Tuesday - March 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
