Marie West

Alice Marie West, age 68 and a resident of Vancleave, MS died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Vancleave. She had lived in Florida, Temple, TX, East Texas, and DeSoto and Duncanville prior. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Mae (Ratliff) and John Johnston. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Frank West; son, John Phillip West, sisters, Martha Charlene Souza,Frances Hinton and Beverly Ann chapman, brother, Ken Allen, cousin, Deanna Manley, and aunt, Nelda West. She was born in Waxahachie, Texas and lived in the Dallas area most of her life, moving to Vancleave four years ago. Marie attended Crozier Tech High School in Dallas, graduating in 1961 and was a cheerleader there. She enjoyed painting, creating with stained glass, and was a good friend. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. An additional Celebration of Marie's Life will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday, December 26, 2010 in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 S.
