Mary Virginia Gibson

Mary Virginia Gibson was born in Ida, Louisiana, graduated from Rodessa High School in Rodessa, LA, and she passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning. Mary had taught for Merrywood School in Duncanville from 1968 until 1990. She married Buddy Gibson on December 22, 1945. They were married 69 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Raymond, Claude and Henry Spearman. Survivors include her husband: Buddy, son: Ronnie and his wife: Dee Gibson, granddaughter: Stephanie Mae and her husband: Rob Schoendienst, two great grandchildren: Austin R., and Maegan E. Schoendienst, sister: Barbara Keese of Mt. Enterprise. TX. The family will receive friends from 10 A. M. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 until Service Time of 11 :00 A. M. on Tuesday at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, Texas, 75115. Interment will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
