Maude Ella Lucas

Funeral Services for Maude E. Lucas will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at First United methodist Church, 310 Roaring Springs Dr., DeSoto with Rev. Kevin Strempke, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church until service time. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio, Texas. Memorials are encouraged to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (800-873-6983 or www.stjude.org). Mrs. Lucas was born in McKinney, Texas, and had lived in San Antonio for many years until coming to this area to be close to her family. She was a member of Highland Hills Baptist church while in San Antonio, and she had been a clerk for a number of years at Ft. Sam Houston in the U. S. Government Army Recruiting Office. Survivors include her son and daughter in law: Dee and Karen Trimble of Midlothian, TX, granddaughters: Sally Gail Greenberg of San Fransisco, CA, Sean McCrossen of Lubbock and Keri McCrossen of Lewisville, great grandchildren: Tasco, Gia and Brent Greenberg, nephews: Wesley Dunn of Arlington, TX, and Charles Wayne Jones of Ft. Worth, great nephews: Paul Davis and Jerry Don Davis.
