81, U S Air National Guard Veteran,  builder and master electrician in the DeSoto area, currently of Waxahachie, TX passed away on July 15, 2018.The family will receive friends at the West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Thursday - July 19, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. (on the same day) in the Waxahachie City Cemetery, 300 S. Hawkins,  Waxahachie, TX 75165 with Rev. Larry Williams, officiating.Melvin is survived by his wife: Norma, daughter and son in law: Suzette and Tom Bartosh, granddaughter: Brooke Kennel and her husband:  Matt Kennel, granddaughter: Audrey Bartosh, brother: James Martin and his wife: Sue, sister: Nancy Hardin and her husband: Jim Hardin, cousin: Carol Kimberlin and several nieces and nephews.
