Michael Eugene Belew

Sherman resident Michael Eugene Belew died peacefully April 20, 2016 at Veterans Hospital in Dallas. He was born in McKinney, August 8, 1951 to Donald Eugene and Dolly Sue (Collinsworth) Belew. He was preceded in death by both parents as well as a sister, Pam Wright. Michael served in the U. S. Army and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Sharpshooter Badge. He is a member at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Sherman, TX, Viet Nam Association Chapter 973, and the American Legion. Michael is survived by his beloved wife: Teresa Massey Belew, son: Jason, son: Jerrod and wife: Cara and his nephews and nieces, and grandchildren. Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. at Midway Cemetery, Midway, Texas(75859) on SE County Road 2370 Pallbearers will be: W. J. Massey, Abe Steele, Michael Cole, Eric Steele, Paul Cole and Vernon Boyd.
