It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael L. Judah, age 79, of Princeton, Texas, who went to be with the Lord in July 6, 2025. Mike was born on April 27, 1946, in DeSoto, Texas, to Jim and Sally Judah. He was one of three children and shared a special bond with his sister Billie, who was 11 years his senior. In 2005, Mike married Geniva, and together they shared nearly 20 years of loving marriage. Mike was a kind, gentle, and devoted husband. He was known for his lifelong love of cars—especially Corvettes, Camaros, and Thunderbirds. Mike began working at Owens Corning at the age of 18 and dedicated over four decades to the company. In his free time, he enjoyed reading the Dallas Morning News from cover to cover, a quiet habit that reflected his thoughtful nature. Mike is survived by his wife, Geniva; his sons, Jason and Doug; and his sister, Billie, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy. A visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11th at 11:00 AM at West-Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 S. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115. Mike’s favorite charity was BoysTown, and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to support their ongoing mission. Though his earthly journey was marked by struggle, Mike now rejoices in perfect peace with his Creator, where there is no more pain or suffering. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
