"Missie" Florence Penelle Shepherd

August 2, 1962 — October 9, 2018

Florence Penelle "MISSIE" Shepherd, was born in Dallas, Texas on August 2, 1962 She passed away peacefully at her home in DeSoto on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the age of 56. Missie worked diligently for Pratt Industries as a customer service rep until three weeks before the Lord called her home. She lived her life in pursuit of fulfilling her part of the Great Commission. God was always on her lips and Love was always in her heart. She could often be seen with her grandchildren and was known to invite many that she encountered to attend services at Hampton Road Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. However, she would not have us morn, but rejoice. Psalms 16:11 "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

Survivors include her husband: Micky Shepherd, daughter: Erikka Campbell and her husband: Thomas Campbell, grandchildren: Macie McCorkle, Mason Campbell, Grace Campbell and Jan Campbell, parents: Gus and Dolores Garza, Sr., and brother: Gus Garza, Jr. and wife: Becky Garza, and many other loving family members including her pets: Buddy and Bella.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hampton Road Baptist Church with Rev. Emilio Rodriguez, officiating.
