Miyoko "Mickey" Nozoe Skaggs

Miyoko Nozoe Skaggs, age 96, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2024. Born May 10, 1927 in Oita-ken, Kyushu, Japan to Yadoru & Sho Dono Nozoe and she grew up in Bungotakada, Oita, Kyushu, Japan. She was the 2nd of three children. Mickey met her husband while he was stationed in Japan and they got married in June, 1956. Mickey became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Skaggs, younger sister, Nancy Anne Howe and her daughter, Sybil Lynn Skaggs. Mickey leaves behind her daughter, Marjory Skaggs Hathcock and son in law: Curtis Hathcock; her grandson, Chase Kirkpatrick and her great-grandson, Landon Kirkpatrick. She will be remembered for her joy and kindness that she showed to everyone she knew and met and will be missed by her friends at the assisted living facility she lived in for the past 5 years. She was buried with her husband Roy in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
