81, of Canton, TX (formerly of DeSoto) passed away on August 10, 2016. The family will receive friends on Tuesday - August 16, 2016 in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home from 12:NOON until 1:00 P.M. with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 P.M. (all on the same day) with Larry Smeal, officiating minister. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, DeSoto, TX. Nelda was preceded in death by her husband: Tommy Scott and her son: Randy Scott. She is survived by her son & daughter in law: Rickey Scott & Mary Shinn; grandchildren: Chad Scott, Traci Wilson & Staci Gutierrez; great grandchildren: Tyler Gutierrez, Brayden Scott, Reagan Wilson & Lexi Wilson.
