Nelda L. West

89, former owner of West Funeral Home and Flower Shop in DeSoto, TX passed away on December 15, 2019 after a brief illness.  She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of DeSoto.

Nelda was preceded in death by her husband Henry Otis West in 1984 and her long time, loving friend and companion Edstel Virl "Butch" Keys in 2011.

She is survived by all her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and the Keys family.

Visitation will be Friday - December 20, 2019 from 12:30 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home.

Graveside Services and Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. (same day) in Holy Redeemer Cemetery (which she and Otis established many years ago), 1500 S. Westmoreland, DeSoto, TX 75115.
