The sun rose on Norma’s life September 14, 1937 and set for the final time on the evening of December 29, 2017. The beauty of the setting that day was her husband of 58 years, Ted Shaw, their family and hospice chaplain were gathered around her in prayer when Norma stepped into Heaven.
Norma’s children are Toni and Bradley Perrier of Coppell, Texas and Todd and Arisela Shaw of The Woodland’s, Texas. She was the proud grandma of Collin Perrier, Caroline and Ryan Dykes, Austin Shaw, Aaron Shaw and Alyssa Taylor.
She was the daughter of Odell and Velma Webb and the sister of Donna Shaw.
Norma’s love for her Savior, her husband, family and her many friends was apparent in her daily life. For forty-five years, she had a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and faithfully served in many churches and as an employee in three global ministries.
For the past six years, Norma worked to advance God’s Kingdom at Gateway Church-Southlake as an usher-volunteer and later was asked to serve as a deaconess. She was known for her graciousness, kindness and her welcoming smile to every person she encountered. Her heart for worship and service was felt by all who knew her.
She loved being with her family, studying God’s Word and taking care of Ted.
All Glory to God!
Pallbearers will be David O'Hara, Alan McLaughlin, Robert Funk, Dwane Grimm, Dennis Bennett, Bo McGough
