Norman Eugene Byers

Norman Eugene (Gene) Byers October 5, 1934 – September 24, 2014. Born in Dallas Texas and grew up in Oak Cliff. Graduated from Sunset High School where he met the Love of his life, Sue O’Dell. Gene attended Arlington College then the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. While attending UT, he and Sue were married. After Graduation, they moved to Dallas. He continued his education at SMU where he earned his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Sue passed away in 2006 and their oldest son, Ken Byers passed away in 2009. Sue and Gene are survived by 2 of their sons, Jeff Byers and Jack Byers, as well as 6 Grand Children and 4 Great Grandchildren. Gene, Dad, Gramps will be truly missed by all. A memorial service will be held under the Big Oak Tree, at the Family farm on Sunday, October 5th at 2 p.m.. 180 Water Street, Ovilla, TX 75154.
