Omar S. Baca

Omar Sanchez Baca passed away February 15, 2023 at the age of 61 years. He was born on August 28, 1961 in Odessa, Texas. He grew up with his siblings: Ida Baca, Rebecca Baca, Hector Baca, Sr., Daniel Baca, Emanuel Baca and Veronica Rodriguez. They were raised on a farm by their parents: Manuel S. Baca, II and Katherine S. Baca. Omar was a diesel mechanic, a Dallas Cowboys fan, a grill master and a savvy dresser. Most of all, he was an incredible caregiver to his beloved wife of 27 years: Vanice. He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home on Thursday - February 23, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at which time the Funeral Service will begin with Bishop Alan Lafon and Mr. Daniel Lopez, officiating. Interment will follow in Rhodes Cemetery, DeSoto, TX.
