Patricia Loucks Fisk

Born in Liverpool, England to Alfred William and Daisy Davies. After the war, she moved to London where she spent her formative years. Moving to London was the beginning of a life long love for travel. In 1962 she moved to Tacoma, Washington, where she married and gave birth to Graham and Neal Loucks. While raising the boys, her home was the place that all of their friends spent their time. Graham and Neal's friends loved visiting her home because she made them feel accepted and knew they would have a good time. And they really loved her accent. She was very passionate about animals, shopping and decorating. In 1990, Patricia married Ronald Fisk. Patty loved to travel and went on adventures both stateside and worldwide. She took an African Safari, visited the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, traveled throughout the European Union, Bali, Singapore, various ports of call in Asia and the Italian Alps. Once, while visiting the Arctic Circle she took the opportunity to play baseball. Patty also spent time at sea. During this time, she was captain of various sea going vessels and became known for her unscheduled swims. And when she traded in the boat for the motor home, she went on adventures that took her to almost every state in the Union. Patty was passionate about traveling until her health began to deteriorate. In 2007, Patty was diagnosed with cancer. In 2008 they moved to Texas and settled down in Midlothian where they they traded in the motor home for the house. She continued to cook, entertain, and garden. When it came to gardening, she was more supervisor the the worker. She knew she wanted and she was willing to let you create that vision. On Thanksgiving, November 25, 2010 Patty lost her battle with cancer and with Ronald and Barbara Gruber by her side she went to be with the Lord. Survivors include her husband, children, Graham (Julie) Loucks and Neal (Suzanne) Loucks, sister, Jean (Donald) Hansoen, brother,, Graham (Pam) Davies, daughter, Teri (Tommy) King, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 niece, 4 nephews, and numerous friends. A private family interment will be conducted on December 18, 2010 at 11 A. M. at New Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington. Memorial Services will follow at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 140 E. 56th Street, Tacoma, Washington, 98404. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a local Animal Shelter.
